'You give me fever' Winter Ilex Berries

'You give me fever' Winter Ilex Berries

£45.00

See in the festive season in style… Bold yet simple, Ilex or ‘Winterberries’ are long-lasting showstoppers for any large vase arrangement.

Ilex is a species of 400 flowering plants out of the holly family. Originally from the eastern part of North America and the southeast in Canada, Native Americans used the berries for medical purpose. That’s the reason the plant got the nickname ‘fever bush’, but most people know these distinctive berries as ‘winterberry’. Symbolising love and hope, for centuries holly is a bringer of luck. The Celts and Germans worshiped the tree and used it to keep evil away. Perfect for your own home, or surprise a loved one with these beautiful berries to kickstart the Christmas feels…

Just 5 stems are abundant and heavy with berries, and stand proud in any medium to large vase as a single stem arrangement. For a larger centrepiece, opt for the 10 stems, make sure you have your heavy-weight vase ready to go! llex berries should last up to two weeks if you keep out of direct heat and sunlight, and change the water regularly.
